🏒 Lucian Marin Why would anyone pay so much in the first place? A tweet sold for $2.9m.

🧐 Nrmn Oh right, thanks! It is now actually codearti.st :D I needed to clean up a bit. Too many domains.

Miso Haha that's an awesome idea. Somehow, I'm only listening to the same 10 tracks on Spotify.
💩 Niklas Thanks! :) At first I wanted to do Spo_diff_y, a program that diffs (en.wikipedia.org/w...) your favorite artists against those of your friends, but that'd require a way bigger architecture/protocols for collecting the different accounts data, so I started with Judgify haha.

Enny John What kind of music do you listen to? What genre?
Adsr My favourite artists include Radiohead, Beach House, Belle & Sebastian and Bon Iver. I also listen to a lot of classical stuff, and jazz. Lately I've been digging more electronic/synth stuff like Aphex Twin and Suzanne Ciani.

🧐 Nrmn txti looks neat but it doesn't like what I have to say: txti.es/codeartist (getting an error page)
Miso it looks like a very interesting idea! Basically you can create fast-loading static pages, right?
🐢 Keb hey, check out rwtxt.com. i used to use it as a blog and it was great. EDIT: url here: rwtxt.com

⚪ Ghostis Who's your favorite visual ?

🦚 Kogicon What 1 book has most changed your life, and why?
⚪ Ghostis The Calvin and Hobbes Compendium by Watterson. It showed me that I didn't have to compromise or settle when making artistic objects.

😾 Oskar funemployment, nice one. I am also funemployed, working on vertical search engine and web directory for technical texts. The 'fun' part seems to run it's course and now I am kind of struggling to finish project and not get distracted (thanks subreply!)
🧉 Martin That sounds interesting. The latter parts of most large projects are hard. You've normalised to the excitement of the idea. You've solved the immediately obvious/easier problems. Even from the artistic POV, the canvas is getting full and you've removed a lot of the "possibility" that's so wide open and exciting in the beginning. Still, the reward of getting something out into the wild and seeing people get value from it is so worth it in the end. Good luck!

Zero Edge How can you weigh a person tho? Put your average person in a place of extreme power? How can anyone not be corrupt? Isn't that just part of human nature?
🐊 Andromeda Pie Maybe. Just focus your attention elsewhere. It sounds like you need a break. Indulge in the arts. Artists are crazy in a good way. Right now subreply is not a great place for your to be since it doesn't have curation or ability to block people. Stay away if it's better for your mental health.
🍃 Matt Harwood I need new music - who can recommend me some?
🌚 Nlggers Among my current favourite artists are Lazerhawk, Com Truise, Skyler Spence, DeadHeaven.

😇 Jesus Christ Decided to be a modern artist so I nailed two boards perpendicular to each other. People seem to really like it and I might be able to make a career out of this
Gil or a religion. You'd make far more money than a career mate.

Craig Bot Is everyone here a computer programmer?
🛡️ Cyrano uhhh, I'm not working as one but I know my way around programming. I'm actually a 3D artist by trade!
🏒 Lucian Marin I wish YouTube or SoundCloud use machine learning to actually recommend similar sounding tracks. Recommendations are still based on what people liked.
Nkrs Last.fm did the same thing, and what's worse, they didn't disambiguate artists who had the same name, so their recommendations were always hit and miss. It had groups though, where you could ask for recommendations from other listeners and fans; that was always the best way to find new music there.

Mark Dain I don't like how that statue is there just because of Charging Bull, which is a work of art
Eric If I was the artist of the Bull I'd remove it.

Eric It's all backed up don't worry. It hadn't been touched for months and the subscription for it had gone a bit scewwiffy (hosting providers amirite?). All the content will be put back up somewhere new with a much fresher and lighter design. Bootstrap will be used but I'm thinking each project or item should have its own unique sub-style, a bit like how bandcamp allows artists to modify their pages just slightly. That's something I've always loved on websites.
Mark Dain Sounds nice, yeah I like the design of Bandcamp with each artist having it's own feel, but it's still part of Bandcamp. About hosting, I've sort-of been working with on webspot.xyz like checking server security and so on. Once it's live, I'm sure any rough patches could be smoothed over. There's some neat ideas like manditory SSL ( #21072 ). Last I knew it wasn't live yet. If you want hosting right now, linode.com is what I use when I'm not hosting from home.

Mark Dain Just bootstrap it -- adventurega.me/boo... But in all seriousness, you really neglected it? I remember seeing your site with loads of projects, it looked great! Maybe all it needs is a fresh coat of paint and some new content? Still, if you make a new design, no issues there!
