Yes. Then patch as well.

The API is working, see subreply.com/api. I added all GET endpoints using Gemini CLI. Now I need to find iOS and Android developers to build native apps.

Pretty sweet
đĻĨ Ilman Fattah
what about using PWA.
𤡠Tom Hyndman
get to work, we need features! Do you have any JS SPA experience?
đ Lucian Marin
We need an API before JS SPA. I tried to vibe code something with Gemini CLI (github.com/lucianm...). Having the API ready for iOS and Android apps is a priority.

I quite like it the concept ands immediately installed the developer beta on my phone. It clearly wasn't considered in many places but I expect that from a beta.

They toned down liquid glass effect in iOS 26 beta 3. Apple should remove it entirely.

Apple will allow sideloading apps with iOS 17 techcrunch.com/202...
đ Lucian Marin
If they allow alternative browsers then I might buy an iPad Mini after all.

After "the plugin" reveal it is pretty clear OpenAI's vision is to be a monopoly (or duopoly like IOS) where every business on earth will have to create a "plugin" to have functionality with their website/system. This plugin will likely cost the business money to list. So they are expecting us to replace a decentralized internet with a centralized one controlled by a single entity. Imo this won't work. One large company with leverage can simply say they won't make a plugin for "x LLM" instead we only support "y LLM" and then OpenAI will have the fun lesson of learning that betting it all on a monopoly is a stupid strategy.

ChatGPT doesn't even have mobile apps and the site always asks me to login.

I appreciate the offer. I'm not sure I really have any specific questions at this time. I first thought about them years ago, and it's just been an on-and-off curiousity since then. There is a local float center, so I supose I just need to try it at least once. I like the idea of medition, and I thought it could be used for relaxation, though I'm not sure at this point. I used to sauna for a while when I had the opportunity, and that was pretty relaxing. I guess I have a question: do you think it could be used for relaxing (any for the body besides just the mind)?
Derek Sivers
Probably different for everyone. I'm a very relaxed guy, so when friends tell me that accupuncture or massage or hot stones or various other things work for them, I always try it out of curiosity, for the life experience. But really nothing has been super-relaxing to me... EXCEPT: going back and forth between super-hot and super-cold pools a few times - each one staying in as long as I can stand it. Now THAT melts me. Everything else has been just "eh". sive.rs/sauna

Wow this site renders _so beautifully_ on mobile
đ Lucian Marin
You can use it as an app if you add it to home screen from Safari on iOS or Chrome on Android.

I changed the way unfeeder.com fetches articles. It's faster, new articles every couples of minutes. It doesn't depend on the Facebook API any longer. I can provide a JSON API for iOS and Android developers.

No one makes anything user-friendly anymore. Not iOS, not Android, not even cars or microwaves. WTF is going on?

Simplyfing things at work isn't perceived as work. It's almost impossible for me to keep a job more than two years.

Lovely talk from Maxon on the actuators they developed for Curiosity and Perseverance: youtube.com/watch?...

Infinite pagination was implemented, posting restrictions were reduced, emoji are supported in posts and profile bios, social links can be added from options page, accounts can be deleted, logging in with a magic link is possible, access keys for sidebar links were added, light theme is lighter and dark theme is darker.

the marvel studios part of disneys investor day was very impressive; kang, god butcher, etc. Teenage me would be out-of-his-mind excited

I think I'm done with smartphones. Were I able to script stuff on them they'd be useful but I don't need an ad dongle stuck in my pocker. Soon to be back to Nokia 105. Hopefully.

#TOTD I like the idea of exoskeletons for rehabilitation (e.g. make paraplegic people walk again) but I dislike human enhancement stuff. Why use an exoskeleton to lift 1000 lbs? Just use a remote controlled robot, or a fork lift! Want to run at 60 mph? Use a car! Just imagine if something goes wrong with the control system or the freaking battery connector fails while the user is lifting 1000 lbs above their head.

That's a very grounded argument you have there. Never thought it like that before. And it makes much sense once you think about it from a practical point of view. All tech fails at some point. And your scenarios, though focusing on very fringe instances, are entirely within the realm of possibility.
