Lol. Here comes the thought police. How can any normal 21st century person be okay with illegal words, animals, plants or people?
🌘 Alana
because I'm transgender, and it honestly just fukin wears me down to see slurs thrown around casually. stopped using a forum I liked because one of the users had "tr*nny" in their name. it just sucks, you know? I'll go somewhere else, and then the racists and people who are okay with racists will stay. evaporative cooling, if you will. check out decriminalizenatur... btw.

This is exactly why censorship is a terrible idea. I'm under no obligation to approve of, celebrate, or accept your interpretation of reality. I would go so far as to argue that your sexual identity has resulted partly from aggressive online censorship that painted any criticism of your identity expression as "hate speech." May I suggest that you reflect on your fragility.
🗜️ Mx
First off, there is no such thing as "transgender". You can mutilate your body all you want and take all the pharmaceuticals you can, you still won't be able to change your gender. You're just going to look weird and condemn yourself to a lifetime of social agony. Secondly, nobody owes you comfort and happiness. If words offend you, then you're already vulnerable to all forms of communication and you should stay away from people in general - both online and offline alike.
😇 Jesus Christ
you go alana

To each his own. I enjoy long term monogamous relationships between man and woman. Hope your day is well also!

Boasting about a high sex count makes you seem like a typical arrogant sex-crazed male

+1 for brutal truths about life

ah, feck off. it's pretty standard scientific consensus that this stuff is valid: health.clevelandcl.... but, yes, the ability to endure slurs is a necessity in order to participate in intellectual conversation. to me it's odd though that something like the n-word is permitted on a seemingly professional site like this
🌚 Nlggers
I disagree with your views but I respect that they are what you believe to be true and the fact that you advocate for what you believe is likely rooted in good intentions. It's my view that gender does not exist and that biological sex is determined by chromosomes. I believe genital mutilation is an abhorrent treatment for the mentally ill and my hope is that this practice will be eliminated within my lifetime.
🔻 Trinity
I too believe in the abolishment of gender but probably in a dramatically different way. If you think sex is determined by chromosomes, what about the (somewhat atypical) third sex chromosome in many? It's possible to be XY, XX, XXY, XYY, etc. Doesn't that go against the idea of any sort of binary in terms of sex?
🌚 Nlggers
That's interesting. I had not heard of this. You have have opened my mind to a new possibility in telling me this. I will spend some time reading and to the degree that I am able remain open to the possibility that I may not have the full picture.
🗜️ Mx
Those chromosome abnormalities are exceptionally rare, and they're unfortunate but abnormalities nevertheless. Some people are born blind. Does that mean that eyesight is a spectrum and a choice, and one can alter it with their mind?
🔻 Trinity
No, but while the lack of eyesight is a physical ailment, being born as the wrong gender is more of a psychological ailment. Sure, scientists in a thousand years or so will probably have a pill to cure gender dysphoria. But for now, eh. If they look like a dude, and dress like a dude, they're a dude to me. There's no epidemic of trans-committed crime, they're actually more likely to be killed: channel4.com/news/...

Those people exist and they're entitled to life, happiness and a right to be employed. Just please don't show me "articles" about gender euphoria being normal and something that can happen to anyone. It's a severe (though non-violent) mental disease and it should not be normalized.
🤔 David
And how did @deven share an article about "gender uphoria being normal and something that can happen to anyone"? I have not read any contributions that are attempting to "normalize" trans attitudes *in the framing that you present--that is, that as trans becomes "popular" then more people will attempt it*. Rather, what I read is an acknowledgment of their situation. Nobody can "become trans" just like the terrible argument that people can "become gay"
🗜️ Mx
Let's not be gullible! Transgenderism doesn't exist in nature. Homosexuality does, but not transgenderism. I think your "scientific consensus" has an underlying agenda.
🐊 Andromeda Pie
Sooo if something doesn't exist in nature it doesn't exist in humans? Lmao.
🔻 Trinity
Humans are, as far as we know, unprecedented. Computers (as we know them) do not exist in nature, yet we can build them. Our brains are pretty complicated compared to most other species. Glitches, like being a woman despite being born as a man, should be expected.
🗜️ Mx
"Glitches" being the keyword here. Everyone is entitled to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. However, people with mental "glitches" should stay out of education. Nobody under 13 should be exposed to anything remotely sexualized, let alone any sexuality with glitches in it.
🔻 Trinity
Since when is transgenderism sexualized? Gender as a social concept is beyond what one's genitals are. If glitches like these are so common, let's think of them as features. The bugfixes are considered torture and it's not compromising any security functions. It's possible to address human sexuality without any form of perversion. Let's tell kids that there are people like them and that they aren't alone if they feel... wrong.
🗜️ Mx
Transgenderism is a mental disorder that exists on a scale so minuscule that it makes no sense to include it in grade school education. Otherwise, we have to include Trekkies, Wiccans, Voodoo practitioners and all types that believe they're somehow different than everyone else.
🤔 David
> we have to include Trekkies, Wiccans, Voodoo practitioners and all types that believe they're somehow different than everyone else || This is a false equivalence and you know it. On top of that, your focus on content being presented as "sexualized" when it's purely informative (how is explaining what transgender means sexual/sensual??) presents a bias in your perspective. Rather than deplore it as a sexual issue or perversion, perhaps present evidence-based claims
📉 Bill
This discussion of "transgenderism" shows the true power of propaganda in modern day society. Where were transgender people centuries ago?
🏕️ Autumn
> Sumerian and Akkadian texts from 4500 years ago document transgender or transvestite priests known as gala and by other names. en.m.wikipedia.org...

This is where they stop responding or accuse you of being nervous or aggravated lol

Centuries? There were virtually zero transgender people up until the early 2000s.

If you took a minute to Google it you will be satisfied in knowing you're wrong. But you won't and we know why. You would rather spend your energy on hate and bigotry. Go ahead, prove me wrong. Google it. Buy a book. Read. Learn.

The nazis were the ones who burned much of the medical documentation of transgenderism. They easily set us back a century in our understanding of the condition.
🕴️ Matthew Townsend
If transgender isn't a thing, are we rolling back intersex too? Do we go back to chucking hermaphrodites off cliffs? Are we going to be like Iran with there 0% homosexuality rate? What are people like Caster Semenya?
🗜️ Mx
Intersex is an anomaly of the chromosomes - an unfortunate genetic condition. Intersex people can do nothing to change that condition, much like regular people can do nothing to change their gender. Nobody is "trans"! You are that what you're born. I don't want anyone thrown off a cliff. However, if you tell me that you woke up this morning feeling that your gender changed, I'd advise you to seek mental help and not mutilate your body. Also, kindly stay out of education!
