🤔 David Here are a few I like: Dune; A Fire Upon the Deep; The Hobbit; The Phoenix Project (if you're in IT). For non-fiction I like: Meditations (Marcus Aurelius); Thinking Fast and Slow; A Hero with a Thousand Faces; The Society of the Spectacle.
📀 Rob Will have to check out the Phoenix Project. It sounds interesting.

Prince Campbell Trump is the worse President in history. He's mind boggling incompetent.
📀 Rob But do you think Biden can win?

📀 Rob What do you guys know about fitness? How does someone get "celebrity" fit?
Joseph Gilmore Not much, but getting "celebrity" fit sounds like a waste of time. Just get normal healthy fit! Which is very hard but straightforward. It's just exercising regularly (cardio especially) and eating less junky food
💡 Diff Read an article a few weeks ago that said apparently it's harder to weigh less than it used to be. Comparing today and the 80s, someone with the same level of exercise and caloric intake just weighs more today. Another article said there's no real tricks, just control over your diet and exercise.
🧔 Justin A prescription for adderall and a gym membership
🕹ī¸ Andrew Being "celebrity fit" requires lots of time, a focused routine, and perhaps a personal trainer and/or meal plan. One of the actors from the marvel movies said that he only achieved six pack abs and so on because he had the time to devote to all the training. For normal people, you have to set aside time to go to the gym, perhaps 3-5 times a week, and stick with a routine. Focus on learning the movements first, and then stick with it.
📚 Terry Mcginnis I don't know what "celebrity" fit means but if you spend some time every day doing basic cardio and body weight exercises then you'll get pretty far. There is no specific plan I follow. I just try to get tired while listening to music and it works pretty well.
Ritardando Lift heavy and then diet. Abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym. All celebrities have personal trainers, so being 90th percentile in fitness without education is going to be super hard. You could do it yourself, but if you are serious, budget $10k and 18 months.

🧠 Foo Anyone else starting to feel burned out by working from home? Most of my friends seem to be loving it, but I feel like I'm in the minority and enjoy going into the office a few times a week.
📀 Rob We only quarantined for 1 month in my state. I was burned out immediately. My gym was also closed which was hell. My saving grace was the occasional call to go into the office to do something. So yeah I feel you man.

👉 Oscar The fact that Trump is even considered for a second term by _anyone_ is mind-boggling to me. Disclaimer: I'm from Europe.
📀 Rob We get two choices whether people want to admit it or not. They both sucked last time and it looks like they both are going to suck this time. Thats not even taking into account the fact that the President isn't a dictator and we would be better off all focusing and "getting hype" about our House and Senate positions.

🧔 Justin A comment I read recently said "nuance is dead" which I think does a good job summarizing an aspect of our culture today. It's a sad thought.
📀 Rob It really is. US politics has been distilled into Red vs Blue and its like my god people these are really complicated issues. They clearly all have gray areas to them.

🌚 Nlggers If Biden goes forward with the debates then I suspect that will work against him. I'm not sure this will be the case but I've heard Biden may choose not to debate Trump unless certain conditions are met (the presence of "real time fact checkers" + the release of his tax returns). I think the release of his tax returns would be good but I think someone saying "umm actually" every time Trump says anything at all would likely not be a value add.
📀 Rob I think Biden's best bet is not to debate because sadly even facts can be seen as subjective.

🧔 Justin I have a hard time imagining Trump seeing a second term, but he did win the election last time. Would a Biden presidency even be much better? But voting for a third party is "wasting your vote". Sigh
📀 Rob I completely agree. I strongly feel like we will never see an independent candidate win in the US. We have two choices and depending on which videos you watch it kind of seems like Biden does have some health issues. I can't say that anywhere without people automatically freaking out and saying I am pro trump.

🤖 Razi What's the difference?
📀 Rob No idea. Honestly I'm starting to think they already know who has it before we vote.

🔚 Bort Simpson Omar Wasow, an assistant professor at the department of politics at Princeton, published a new paper studying the relationship between riots and voting. He found riots on the whole provoke a hostile right-wing response. The term "silent majority" is even more relevant now given how openly hostile the cultural climate has become towards whites and their 'fragility.'
Ac G. Ye-2020. Though tbh, I think Trump pretty much has it. Kanye just took the black vote, and most of the mainstream conservative types that were put off by Trump four years ago are now on board, even if his "tight-labor-markets (immigration) and fair trade deals" base are sort of fed up with him.
🌚 Nlggers I believe Biden has a number of asymmetric advantages. That said I'm not sure who will win. In the last election I recall believing Hillary was going to win by a landslide based on the polling data (at least that I had seen). I suspect Biden will win but given the uncertainty in my mind concerning how sure I felt about the last cycle I can't say with any any real confidence that this current asymmetry Biden enjoys will actually translate into a victory.
