🏒 Lucian Marin Robots in human form should be banned. Fighting robots is impossible and human rights should be more important. Turning off a machine in a different form is easier. youtube.com/watch?...
🤘 Matthew I agree about the importance of human rights, but in the US we have millions of people who have no trouble terminating other human beings, though most of them are too cowardly to bloody their *own* hands. They call themselves "conservatives" and even claim to be Christians. They should have no trouble shutting down robots, too, especially if they get "uppity" and aren't content to be counted as three fifths of a person for the purpose of apportioning seats in Congress. We can't even treat ourselves and each other with basic human decency, so we have no business making AI in our own image.

Daniel Holmes I recently heard a Paul Washer sermon the other day, talking about the role of Deacons and Elders, but more specifically Elders. He spoke to the danger of teaching and how if the fear of God isn't upon you when you're speaking then you need to go and repent. Furthermore he said that just as a husband should be willing to lay down his life for his wife and his children, so the responsibility for an elder is. You must lay down your life, because you are not given authority for authority's sake... you're given the authority to serve.

🏒 Lucian Marin I'm in favor of 4-day workweek, but I would also prefer a shorter 6-day week. Solar calendar (calendars.fandom.c...) comes with a lot of benefits for well-being and work productivity.

Zero Edge There is a good reason Pfizer intentionally hid the information that they used "fetal" cells in testing while developing their vaccine. To a lot of Christians that reads: "They used a murdered baby to make this vaccine.". Yet, still people get denied "religious exemption ". In my opinion you shouldn't even need a religious exemption anyway. I think the old middle finger exemption should be good enough.

Zero Edge So when there is another pandemic in the future and the only vaccine available uses aborted fetal cells doesn't that pretty much solidify the "mark of the beast" since nearly every Christian will abstain.. I guess we got the dry run with this one. Seems like the system is already being put into place today. "Pro Choice" -> very ironic.

🔻 Trinity ^ the inverted red triangle was used to indicate political prisoners in the nazi death camps. "First they came for the Communists." The original author of the poem said this of the beginnings of the concentration camps: "Those weren't my Christian brothers, who were burned there, those were Communists, Jehovah's Witnesses, etc. [ernste Bibe(forscher usw.}. That's why I didn't care [mich nicht gekiimmert}." Just some food for thought really.

🤖 Speck Dust Moral positions as to the need for absolute free speech and amplification always ring hollow. Few realize that the structure around both free speech and capitalism was established within the context of Christianity, providing the counter balance to absolutism. I'd love to discuss counter arguments.

Mark Dain Today I'm writing documentation on Linux for my coworkers as we're finally moving off Windows Server. Our platform has no more Windows specific components due to some recent work so it's onwards with switching. Need to setup some training sessions later this week for getting people used to Debian (command line). Any tips? Has anyone taught Linux before?
John Olinda When I taught my students some command line basics, this is what I ended up with: seoul-christian-sc... The website is incomplete since I changed schools before we finished the course, but this got my students off the ground with Debian and Bash. Eric Does S Korea get many refugees and migrants?
John Olinda Yes, although not nearly as many as the United States. I know there are a fair number from Pakistan (Christians fleeing persecution) and Mongolia (seeking economic opportunities).

John Olinda I've been getting more and more frustrated with my fellow Christians who think that banning Muslim refugees or immigrants is a valid solution. Apart from the lack of evidence that this is a good solution, it's incredible to me that they can't see that all their arguments could just as easily be flipped around on us as Christians. I want to write a blog post about it but I don't feel like I've quite figured out how to say what I want to say.
