Martijn As someone who has tried getting into American comics off and on for the last 5 years, the reactions to this post resonate very well with me. It is all way too convoluted. metafilter.com/166...

Tchite I like the analogy made in the cartoon: Trump being the fire that burns down the forest. Apt that. Fire is to a forest as Trump is to our American oligopoly. Sanders could have played that role too but he was crushed by the Clinton machine.

Martijn A friend of mine told me to get onto DC's Convergence series. I have been wanting to get into the U.S. comics scene for a while, but always scared off by the enormous lists of back-issues. Apparently this will lead to a new reboot and a perfect time to jump in. The Convergence series so far is a bit of a let down though, not a good start for new readers at all no matter what DC says.

Brendan Murty Didn't know this was possible! "The average person has three cones, which enables him to see about one million colors. But Antico has four cones, so her eyes are capable of picking up dimensions and nuances of color" popsci.com.au/scie...
Martijn I knew some fish had advanced eyes, and always thought cephalopods had some of the best, but this is great! For more eye-fun, check the Mantis Shrimp (theoatmeal.com/com...)
