It seems people are against another Pinboard, so no for now. But you can use Instanote to self-host your own links.

I'll take a look at it when I get home. I've wanted to make my own bookmark service for a while now. Noe that I'm going to start programming again, I think that might be my first project.

I like it a lot. It would be really handy if there was a bookmarklet that could add a page to it with one click. Did it automatically populate the content of the note blurb or did you do that manually?

I do it manually. I think I will open source it since there're just some easy to understand PHP files.

Features that Sublevel has: comments, messages, avatars and a better design. Probably the like button will add a link to your profile. And I want to get rid of followers and home feed.

To be honest, I use Pinboard specifically because it does not do those things. I don't need those things on my bookmarks. So this would never actually compete with Pinboard for me, I might still use it though.

Same, I use it instead of my browser's native bookmarking feature. However, this is super pretty.
