Logos are rotated from time to time. They all look good.

Go to your own profile and instead of "Message", you'll see "Note". It seems to use the same messaging backend except you're writing to yourself which is really cleaver; one code to maintain rather than two. Donations took me a minute to figure out, it's a link in the footer (see Donate next to About). Alternatively you can go here: sublevel.net/network (first section is Donations)

On mobile (Android), I see the emoticons. On my laptop (Mint & FF), I see two boxes with 01F44D and 01F44C, and a smiley (black circle, smile, and what looks like hearts for eyes).

I just tried on my laptop (Elementary OS), it's surprising how bad it looks. Emoji seems to have little to no support outside Apple's platform. Here is how it should look (rendered from iOS): imgur.com/oj7D4mD

At work I use Windows 10 and I am always surprised by how well their new black and white font for emoji work. Possibly better than Apple's way of forcefully rendering every emoji in their font.

Black and white emoji sounds interesting, could you post a screenshot (if possible) of what it looks like? Otherwise I'll check it out some point on the weekend (I have a PC with Windows 10)
