Haha, I used the chat more like a learning exercise. Is Claude Code like a VS Code/GitHub Copilot equivalent?
đ¨đģâđģ Moroni
Claude Code provides a different experience from regular chat - it automatically creates files, executes scripts, builds and tests code, all within a Git repository that commits changes as you request modifications. By the end, you have a deployment-ready project. It's not perfect and occasionally requires manual code changes, but it's very impressive.

Ah, same here. I like Claude most; it just feels nice. Mostly learning how to do a large JOIN query, then teaching myself by adding another JOIN from scratch.

Did you try Claude Code? It's awesome but it consumes tokens as a 1970 Volkswagen.

I've only done some SQL vibe-type coding. Is your vibe code published anywhere?
đ¨đģâđģ Moroni
It's company code so I did not publish it. What tools did you use to vibe code SQL?

@lucian, is there a way to post to Subreply using the Shortcuts app so I don't have to open the website? I tried checking the network API, but it doesn't show anything because the page reloads.

This is kinda interesting! I'm curious about what you are trying to achieve.

Would you have to be a good employee, as well as talented?
đ¨đģâđģ Moroni
I'm thinking that you can have talent but if you don't have emotional intelligence, strong social skills, among other factors, you won't succeed.

Yes. I know this from my own experience. Talent isn't important to managers.
đ¨đģâđģ Moroni
I would argue Talent is important to managers, but it's not the only criterion.

What phone do you have? I have a Motorola Edge 50 Neo.

Company-issued iPhone 15, though I'm personally an Apple fan myself.

P0sixninja, a prominent former iPhone jailbreaker, is homeless and looking for a job. Does this suggest that talent alone isn't enough to succeed today?

I'm looking for a manual paddle board air pump on Amazon, but they're surprisingly hard to find. When I do find them, they cost the same as electric pumps, which is odd. I'd be willing to pay that price for a durable manual pump, but it's difficult to know the quality of these products.

This is actually very common in Brazil, where everyone uses WhatsApp (a Facebook app). You record your voice message on your end and it appears as a playable audio clip for whoever you sent it to. I'm not a fan, but it is the favorite mode of communication of a lot of people, including my extended family.
