😀 Tom An "up to" 18 hour battery, and twice as expensive? No thanks, I'll stick with getting the Pebble Time Steel with it's 10 day battery and always on color display.
🏒 Lucian Marin The best thing about Apple Watch is that the technology will come to other Apple products. Force Touch and Taptic Engine are in the new MacBook and will come to iPhones and iPads later this year. Next year: wireless charging...

😀 Tom Yeah, sometimes they develop great stuff, but sometimes they don't use the latest technology like other companies so that they can impress everyone next year with a year's old technology. Pebble is definitely an outlier with their 7-10 day battery life, but when all other smart watches that I'm aware of have well over 24 hour's worth of battery, Apple comes in with up to 18? That's fine; I stopped liking Apple years ago. But I can't help but think that anyone who isn't brainwashed, sees the watch as a joke.

Adam Douglas I think we've seen the best of Apple for the time being. They've made some questionable decisions and fallen behind in terms of 'visibility of innovation' -- there was a time when Apple could claim to have invented or re-invented something, but the iPhone 6/6+ just seemed like a decision to pander to the demands of Samsung Galaxy/Nexus buyers; likewise the Apple Watch didn't quite come in as the first attempt to make a serious smartwatch (Pebble) and likewise it doesn't really reinvent the watch

🏒 Lucian Marin I don't see battery life as a problem. If I'll ever get an Apple Watch, it will be the Sport edition. I will use it just to track my fitness activities. I don't do fitness for than 5 hours a day. If I get a few more hours of usage before and after, then it's enough. My problem is the connectivity: crippled Bluetooth, no Wi-Fi, no GPS.
