Last time I tried 3 years ago, you had to save some signature that Apple silently updates automatically without asking. So if you had 6.0, you had to save the signature before 6.1 was released (yes, released, not upgraded) so you could downgrade back to 6.0. Make sense?

Yeah but that was iOS 6, recent versions don't let you downgrade at all, unless that's changed

yeah I've bought a lot of icloud locked phones. instead of having people call me from craigslist and want it done immediately why i work on it. plus shady. '
