Windows Linux. Like Visual Studio Code is just Atom with Microsoft's seasoning. Until Windows abandons the horrible mess they've created over the decades and embrace a UNIX by releasing a Windows *nix, I'm not going to get excited. These updates mean nothing to me because I'm never abandoning BSD or Linux for something with no package management or command line. Ya know?

Windows 10 has both but I know what you mean; it'll never be the same as BSD/Linux. I love Linux but I can't find a DE that works for me and most of the graphical programs are too buggy even for casual use. At-least for me anyway.

I don't like graphical environments. That's probably my primary beef with Windows. I should clarify that I thoroughly dislike OS X as well.
