Adam Douglas Tch. Winix or nothing.
Adam Douglas Windows Linux. Like Visual Studio Code is just Atom with Microsoft's seasoning. Until Windows abandons the horrible mess they've created over the decades and embrace a UNIX by releasing a Windows *nix, I'm not going to get excited. These updates mean nothing to me because I'm never abandoning BSD or Linux for something with no package management or command line. Ya know?
Mark Dain Windows 10 has both but I know what you mean; it'll never be the same as BSD/Linux. I love Linux but I can't find a DE that works for me and most of the graphical programs are too buggy even for casual use. At-least for me anyway.
Adam Douglas I don't like graphical environments. That's probably my primary beef with Windows. I should clarify that I thoroughly dislike OS X as well.
😀 Tom Until they make a 180 on the privacy in Windows 10, they've lost all respect from me.
🏒 Lucian Marin If they want corporations and governments to adopt Windows 10, they have to fix the privacy issues.
😀 Tom From what I understand, if you have the Enterprise version, you can turn all of that stuff off. Otherwise if it was a big corporation or government, I'm sure they have the resources to heavily modify what the OS does, or have their servers prevent that kind of outbound traffic.
Mark Dain But it's all about the cloud now! Everyone wants cloud! cloud for all your data! Help the NSA by feeding them data directly, all that fiber splitting is really expensive
