Interesting article, thanks for mentioning it.

Agreed. After having worked a lot in clumsy ORM-heavy codebases (recently, using Laravel's Eloquent) I'm very interested in more directly DB-oriented solutions. What I wonder when I read about stuff like this though is how folks usually version control stored procedures.

How did you like it? Have you heard that they are going to adapt the novels into a TV series?
☔ Johannes
I liked it a lot, actually. One of my favorite sci-fi series. And yes, I think I heard something about that! The Wandering Earth was made into a movie in 2019, but it seems kind of so-so unfortunately, I hope Remembrance of Earth's Past does better.

It really is hilariously terrible when logged out. On desktop I get absolutely barraged with garbage urging me to log in and accept them spying on me. I try to use Nitter and the like instead but that doesn't always work great, either, due to instances being down or simply missing content that's yet to be scraped.

What are you currently reading? I need inspirations

Death's End by Liu Cixin, the third book in the Remembrance of Earth's Past trilogy. A to me in parts very cynical but intriguing take on the sci-fi genre.

Is there any way to hide replies to a top-level post in the Trending tab (a la hidding comment branches/trees on Reddit or Hacker News)?

Has anyone been playing any decent #boardgames recently? I have just introduced my 6-year-old to No Stress Chess and my 4-year-old to Kingdomino.

The latest game I bought was Odin's Ravens. It's pretty fun, and quick to play to boot.
