Mark Dain My fire alarm keeps making this high pitched beep, is it broken or do the batteries need replacing or something? I can't find a way to open it and hitting the test button only shuts it up for about a day or two. It can't want me to test every 24-48 hours, surely?

Eric Batteries most likely or did you hush it recently? Ours make a intermittent signal beep after a hushing for 20 minutes. If you hush that signal it just extends it, this caused a lot of confusion when we moved in since we put it down go batteries. The alarm is infact mains powered (we think).
