John Olinda any recommendations for course materials for a basic technology course for junior high and high school students? I've taught one for a community class, but this would be for a whole semester and would be able to cover a broader range of topics.
Mark Dain What sort of topics? Teaching technology is usually "here's how to use Word, Excel and PowerPoint". I wonder if it's possible to teach people how to learn software by themselves. It would be a far more valuable skill.

John Olinda I want to cover things like digital citizenship, basic hardware, introductions to programming and web development, troubleshooting, security and privacy, installing an OS on your own, the basics of Mac, Linux, and Windows, and the importance of open source.

Mark Dain Sounds like a great foundation! For into to programming I'd say Rust or Go but as it's not a full course over several years, something like JavaScript is probably easier and it'll tie into web development if you teach that or they pick it up.
