In case anyone is curious, bought Bitcoin via localcoin, then used shapeshifter to exchange for ether. The feedback on sellers gave me confidence.

Ah. Subscribed to relevant rss feeds for notifications of replies/mentions/likes. Much better.

I'm glad you find out how to do it. Even if they aren't push notifications, they are pretty stable.

Thx @tom!

Thought sublevel.net has rss or atom feeds? Not finding them. Any clues?

Anyone have experience buying ether? From New Zealand via CC?
Martijn
That's the nice thing about smaller networks, less obtrusive names.

Definitely. Small is beautiful.

Welcome! Awesome on the great username!

*First impressions* - What I really like about Sublevel: simple, clear interface ("freshness" effect), RSS feeds (yay!), apparently there's an API, friendly on mobiles - What bothers me a bit, as a new user: not easy to find out how to "like" a post, no evident way to (perma-)link directly to a post for outside reference, not evident to understand difference between "current" and "timeline" under @activity (but this can be learned). Overall, a nice and promising place that I will keep an interested eye on!

Yeah, great to have RSS feeds. I remember when Twitter had them, including for search results. Super handy. More power to standard feeds!
