i replied below on accident. however i need a laptop, have multiple phones. presently I'm using iOS lowered firmware with cydia to install packages with terminal to brew if you will. Able to scan off networks and link into other devices and such... MacBook pros where the f are they?

Depends what you want from a phone? There's some cheap but decent Android phones if you carefully shop around. Otherwise the iPhone continues to be great although the hardware is definitely getting worse :(

agreed; apple is simplistic tactical deploy. minimal and beautiful, aesthetically pleasing and offering only a few options thus hardware becomes less of a concern to the mass at beginning and overtime must expand, as well as design. However apple lacks both. iOS with cydia is optional iOS without limitations is ample. otherwise iOS is walled.
