Xasasfdasfd The bottom line for me: why on earth would I want to buy a computer from what has obviously become a consumer-devices company that doesn't give a shit about developers? Why would I want to wait weeks for some dimwit subcontractor to "approve" my code just so I can deploy it to a device where I'm not allowed to use the APIs? No thanks.

Mark Dain A lot of this started to turn around in iOS 9: they've opened up a huge number of APIs; VoIP apps can now use the native phone app in iOS 10 for instance. You can delete stock apps like Mail and for approval, it's not weeks anymore. Usually 1-2 days.
Xasasfdasfd We still find 5-7 days for approval on iOS. What annoys me more than anything is the rejection because of some code that's been in there for months or years, but just came to the attention of some reviewer who probably woke up with heartburn or something.
