Nkrs For my paper, I implement an algorithm that determines, from the starting mixture, the composition of the mixture at growing temperatures, taking into account processes of ionization, excitation, and recombination. When I know the concentration of atoms and ions on a certain temperature, I'm able to compute the intensity of the spectral line at that temperature. All is fine and dandy, but the equation I use to calculate the intensity depends on a dozen of parameters, some of them constant, some of them changing. So here I am, finishing one and a half page in the paper describing how each of these parameters affects the result.

Martijn That's fine, I mean, at least in Sweden. I think my friend's bachelor thesis had a minimum page limit...
Nkrs There's AFAIK no minimum but people usually go with about 40 pages. I have 38 pages, plus 7 more pages of appendices: an 300-line excerpt from the source code and the manual for the program. I could have gone with less, but there's this fear from earlier experiences of writing papers that someone will say that I didn't do enough work if I didn't write more pages.
