Martijn Anyone know if there is a default way to decompile and then recompile Electron applications? I thought I had it, but just replacing the *.asar file within a *.app bundle messes with the signature on the App Bundle and renders the whole application unstartable. (Unstartable is now a word.)

🍊 Lucian Marin I see that YakYak has an app folder inside the macOS app bundle. I npm install everything then run: ./node_modules/electron-prebuilt/dist/Electron.app/Contents/MacOS/Electron ./

Martijn That will only allow me to run the app with my changes right? Still need to find a way to actually repackage? Still, this might work. Will try it out tomorrow.

🍊 Lucian Marin Yes, but your can package it again. npm install -g electron-packager then run it for your app. See the electron-packager docs for options.
