Apart from crisps and chocolate on the weekends I already do not consume sweets in any big quantities. I also already brought back my carbonated sugar drinks intake to only the weekends.

Cool. I've cut sugar out of my diet completely, and that includes fruit and honey. The only "sweets" I eat are carrots, usually one or two per day. With this change in diet I've observed a significant loss in weight since the beginning of March (about 11kg down).
