The_markness Microsoft are the single biggest thing preventing innovation in technology for education. Exchange, Sharepoint, Office etc are dinosaurs that just won't go away. What is it with IT bods and vendor lock in?

Eric IT bods have to make sure that the workplace & workers they serve can still use the machines. People still struggle with editions of programs that are decades old - pushing something new on them would cause havoc. It's a horrid trap
