LinkedIn initially rejected two bug reports from me. The first was fixed. For the second one they just deleted a post I couldn't access when logged in. Now I want to build an alternative. Every account can have a resume, post jobs, share stuff with mentions and private messages.
I'm not on LinkedIn but I'll gladly join an alternative.
I left LinkedIn because they said it was full of security leaks. Go for it.
I haven't used linkedIn in years. Left tired of all the spam tactics employed. It also didn't help their efforts of trying to make of it another engagement seeking platform. Regardless, an alternative would be very welcome. (So many words just to say 'go for it')
An ActivityPub federated alternatives ?
How about using minds.com instead?
good point!
I've always hated Linkedin. It feels bloated and spammy. Angellist and StackOverflow have been much more convenient to find companies that are a good fit for me and vice versa. Looking forward to see what you come up with. Good luck!
Logically Disproving the Big Bang in 17 Seconds youtu.be/R4LyMq6azbg
That's the longest 17 seconds i have ever watched! Time is truly relative! That's why i believe in the Big Bang!
Subreply should open source itself
We need to spam a little more before that happens.
Hello. I only loosely understand the history of open source so I am asking this completely from a place of curiosity. Why should? What would this do? Do developers owe extra work to others? Is it just generally the appropriate thing to do with a creation like Subreply? Thank you.

We're starting to see some spam!
That's great! Just yesterday I was running around looking for a packaging solution for my vaping habit (aren't we all?). Seriously though, we may need a report button.
Hello world, so clean!
So, Apple can build a Touch ID into the 6mm frame of iPad Air. But they can't to the same with the 8mm frame of iPhone for an all-screen design. iPad team needs to design new iPhones.
apple innovation is losing grip since years..
interesting, do you think the iphone 12 won't have touchID? I think the ipad air having touch ID means the new iphone will too.
I value an honest person I may disagree with far more than a fake person who says what you want to hear. At least the honest person leaves themselves open to discussion or debate.
How you distinguish the two? The first could be a contariam. The second someone who believes in building bridges.
This phrase comes to mind: "Framing for dissent". 5ish.org/p/farming...
I can't believe it's already sunday evening. Weekends go by so fast.
Time flies when you are having fun! Love the Halloween invitation poster.
The British Prime Minister has announced that the second wave of COVID-19 is coming. I had hoped we had more time before it came back. Further restrictions, including local lockdowns are inevitable.
Are cases sharply rising again?
I watched the documentary "13th" four days ago and I'm still processing it. Mass incarceration is not good for society and it is not a deterrent; so it really is just a business opportunity for corporations. Dreadful.
Of all the things to make a business out of, prisons are the worst (as well as health care)
I just had my office chair swapped out due to the back losing support and the cylinder going bad...my back has been killing me for weeks because of this. Just sitting in this new chair makes a world of difference!
Same here dude. New office chair makes such a difference
I am going to have to get an office chair - I am currently working from home, and my neck and shoulders are killing me.
Hi everybody!! ^_^
I had an amazing hike this afternoon. Reminder to self: get out of the damn house more often and live!
There's a youtube channel called "Crime Pays But Botany Doesn't" and it's so relaxing and interesting to watch. The dude running it knows his stuff and is a bit of a character, but hot damn does it get me excited for going outdoors and actually enjoying nature instead of enjoying just not being cooped up. He loves plants and wants you to love them too.

Does anyone use Lua predominantly? I'm currently learning it (along with Love2D) and admit I actually really like the syntax and the everything-is-a-table design. Admittedly it has its quirks. I'm wondering why the Lua ecosystem and community is so small compared to other dynamically typed programming languages? I tried installing LuaRocks and installing packages via it on my Windows machine and surprised how it just does not work, and how little support their is.
I learned about it while having fun with PICO-8. It's a lovely language, good design and simple.
will subreply ever be federated through activityhub?
I would be interested in this feature as well.
