But it's all about the cloud now! Everyone wants cloud! cloud for all your data! Help the NSA by feeding them data directly, all that fiber splitting is really expensive

From what I understand, if you have the Enterprise version, you can turn all of that stuff off. Otherwise if it was a big corporation or government, I'm sure they have the resources to heavily modify what the OS does, or have their servers prevent that kind of outbound traffic.
