Simon Janes Moving to Mars would likely be instructive in solving many of problems on Earth, for one, it'll teach us how important a diverse biome and "waste" management is to survival. Not everything is waste, and certainly some things that we manufacture wouldn't be manufactured at all in a resource critical environment. We don't think of the Earth as resource critical so we happily manufacture externalities for the future clean-up crisis.
