Martijn If anyone has more Windows administrating skills than me (@jackivan88?), let me know: superuser.com/q/90...
John Olinda I will check this out when I am working on our school machines tomorrow morning (sorry for the time-zone delay!), but my initial response is: remove IE. However, I will endeavor to find a more diplomatic solution

Martijn No hurries, just wondering if someone with more Windows exposure knew the answer!

John Olinda I'll do my best, although since it's set by the developer I'm not sure if there's anything to do (assuming the registry edit had no effect) on your side. And sorry about joking about removing IE11, I've had people give that sort of "answer" before and know it can be super-frustrating when you're trying to solve a problem .

Martijn Thanks! It's like: I've been in this internet game half my life, I know there are different browsers, that's just not my question. It's even worse when you see someone ask a really clever question about a specific piece of software (say Internet Explorer) and all the comments are 2 groups of fans fighting over their replacement pick (say Chrome vs Firefox). The answer to my question may well be that a user cannot override the web developer's will (which would be stupid IMHO), but at least that is an answer.
