Martijn Adobe is helping Microsoft with their new browser (codename Sparta). So the two companies with the most critical security bugs are now working together?
Adam Douglas It was all going so well. Of all the companies, Microsoft picks the one despised by developers and designers alike for Adobe Flash and for extorting people on a monthly basis for design software that is now outclassed by $50-$100 apps. Who in Microsoft thought Adobe would be the people to see about a modern browser?
Martijn It's not actually all bad. Adobe has made some really great CSS proposals (webplatform.adobe.com), if they start working together with Microsoft on browser implementations for those that could fast-track them into the standard. Which would be sweet. I am just afraid corporate will steer it towards a new browser- integrated Flash-Silverlight-hybrid.

Adam Douglas "I am just afraid corporate will steer it towards a new browser- integrated Flash-Silverlight-hybrid." -- exactly my fear. But you're right, I shouldn't be so pessimistic.
