Martijn I wonder if the USB port on the TV would be able to power the Chromecast. That would mean I can get rid of another power cable and actually get rid of the extra block on the floor.

Eric My larger Samsung TV supports it, my smaller unknown branded TV doesn't. Seems to be hit and miss.

John Olinda My TV supported that, although it meant the Chromecast powered down whenever the TV did. Not sure if that's a problem for you.
