Got an old Samsung Galaxy S4 with a sluggish Android 4.4 and bloated Samsung softs... Install a custom ROM based on Android 10.0 ... And it runs really well, aside from few instabilities I add (reboots when an application doesn't like the ROM). Not perfect but the phone as a new life... i.postimg.cc/1Rk5P...
I recommend using Opera on Android with "Tablet" app layout. It works like a mini desktop browser. Its night mode is even better than Dark Reader extension.
Opera is closed source and owned by a Chinese company. I strongly do NOT recommend.
Because we all know the Chinese are very bad, but our governments of the West are truly bonafide. </s> :-D
Opera has great UX/UI on Android. I can't find a better browser.
It's a shame that the ownership transferred to them, but I still find it speedy and easy to use. I haven't found a better alternative.
I'm using Brave for the time beimg. It allowed me to save a webapp style shortcut on the home screen for Subreply. Pretty nice and useful. I guess Opera can do the same. I'll try it eventually.
