🦿 Lucian Marin Is it just me, or emoji killed the emoticons? :(

Adam Douglas I've basically never used emoticons or emoji and I don't really get all of the fuss about them.

Eric They sort of did, but I've a few friends who can't use them (old devices) and so the old emoticons remain. What I don't like is the jarring *custom* emotes some services use, Skype's attempt of emojis are just terrible, ugly and out right bad.
