🏒 Lucian Marin I think GitHub is preparing for an acquisition. That's when people like Zach who started the thing get fired (zachholman.com/pos...). That means more money go to new managers than to older employees. This is yet another reason why I still like EU more than US, you at least have something to say in case you're fired. If you can prove they're firing for the wrong reasons, you have a small chance to keep your job or demand a contract termination fee.
