🦿 Lucian Marin Sublevel increased the battery usage of my iPhone 4S from an average of 4 hours up to 10 hours. If web isn't the future, I don't know what is.

🦿 Lucian Marin Yes. Safari is the most energy efficient app on both iOS and OS X. I think Chrome on Android L will be more battery friendly too. Conclusion: using web apps wherever possible is a better choice.

Martijn Safari Sublevel vs. App Twitter isn't completely fair is it? No push notification of replies/mentions on the first. So you sacrifice a (to some people big) feature there.

🦿 Lucian Marin Notifications aren't handle by Twitter app, but by Twitter servers and Apple's push notifications servers.

Martijn True, but aren't those of what taxes the battery? Constant upkeep in the background. (I have never used Twitter on my phone, so I really can't be sure eitherway.)
