🦿 Lucian Marin I replaced Spotlight with Alfred then I replaced Alfred with Quicksilver. What I can say is that Quicksilver is the best. I can manage my entire workspace with it.

Martijn I used Quicksilver for years. These days it feels like unneeded overhead, nothing wrong with Spotlight for launching and switching apps and in-app keyboard shortcuts for other actions.

John Olinda I reached the same conclusion. I loved Alfred, but 99% of the time I was simply launching applications or doing calculations, both of which were handled just fine in Spotlight.

🦿 Lucian Marin I disabled Spotlight and metadata indexing to speed up my Mac. Quicksilver indexes once a day and I can configure everything about the index contents. The results are much more suited to my needs.
