🦿 Lucian Marin I wish Apple will call OS X El Capitan simply macOS 11. It's time to get past weird names for the sake of marketing.

Mark Dain I suspect a version bump to 11 would come after significant changes, El Capitan wasn't that different from Yosemite

🦿 Lucian Marin It's gonna happen (macrumors.com/2016...). iOS, watchOS, tvOS and macOS is the perfect line up. Mac OS made much more sense than OS X a few years ago.

Mark Dain When Apple dropped "Mac" some people thought it meant OS X would run on computers other than Macs. Now it makes me wonder why they did it if they go back to how it was. Yeah there is a pattern here and it would make sense. I suppose yearly updates will now be a major version bump like on iOS? This is also good that they're putting the Mac back in OS X; I was worried they'd try to merge it with iOS at some point!
