🏄 Akavel Is there any chance you could cheat by using Nim instead? (can compile to C++)

Sergiusz I've never been using it and I don't want to check if it would be more convenient right now ;) But thanks for the tip!

☕ David Antoine What is the project about? Is it linked to the particle accelerator?

Sergiusz Gamma particles detector. I have to read and process the data from the gamma detector in ROOT (CERN package for the fast data processing with wonderful compression algorithms). The detector is based on Time-to-Digit converters, which I don't fully understand.

🍵 Neo What's wrong with C++?

Sergiusz I don't like it and I really don't know why it is so exactly. I recon its syntax as ugly and a way I think about it as not intuitive. C is my tool.
