Vincent L. Instead of daily newspapers, there could be use in weekly, monthly and yearly event reviews. Maybe with some analyses but each should keep concise.

💬 Subreply Improved input box with a character counter down from 480 chars, a buffer of 80 chars if you go past the limit and auto conversion of accented letters to ASCII when typing. Inline previews are used everywhere even to display more levels down in threads.

Zero Edge I have been looking at Novavax which seems to be closer to the "standard" vaccines we are used to. I am also waiting to see what the overall outcome for those who have already gotten it is. If it is less severe each time until its basically "nothing". I probably wouldn't mind passing thru a few times as opposed to multiple injections every year indefinitely. Already had it once..
☕ David Antoine Yeah still not inactivated type. It is a subunit type vaccine with chemical adjuvants to boost the response. And apparently, the EU commission authorized an advance purchase agreement of 100 million doses + 100 million others as option while still being under Phase 2/3 and under rolling review by the EMA. Sputnik V also under review, but no contracts in advance. How strange. I don't trust them. Inactivated types only used in China, Russia and India. Still, it's done too fast.

☕ David Antoine That's intriguing. SN prototypes are experimental w/ high risk of explosions (i.e. SN4). I can't imagine that it was not taken into account by both parties. And I've a hard time to believe that FAA officials were still going through their review process for the test because of several changes SpaceX made in its license application, unless they submitted that very late... Then why leave the TFR active if you know your review is going to need more time? Strange. We shall see :)

Diva I've finally watched Frozen II and I really liked it! I don't know if film reviewers liked it, but the plot, production values and the songs were very high end. They obviously did not want to put out any old rubbish after the phenomenal success of the first film.

🏀 Pr remarkable.com/sto... anyone gonna pre-order? looks enticing, but not sure i need it?
🗨️ Fui Definitely out of my reach. But the product, and the offer, surely looks appealing. Be it as it may, if you're enticed, try first watching/reading reviews of the former version to see if it's just a novelty item or a truly worthwhile tool. Maybe that'll help you make a more informed decision.

🦿 Lucian Marin "Also, the company has decided to forgo a Micro USB port and instead embrace USB-C, which should appeal to the vocal minority that hates having multiple cables." At least we are vocal, vocal enough for a niche company with a niche product to switch to USB-C. goodereader.com/bl...

🦇 Arr A question for the swarm of cool people: As my favorite hobby to do-while-doing-other-things is listening to podcasts (mostly in german, though) -- Which podcasts to you find interesting or useful? To me, The Anthropocene Reviewed was mildly interesting.

😃 Javier I just finished the podcast: "Nice White People". The history of segregation in a public school in Brooklyn NY USA. I find it fascinating. Is from the creators of the Podcast Serial. Which is also fascinating.

Diva I miss going to the cinema so much. It was always so much more than just going to see a film. I would have a meal and a drink, either before or after; I'd read and listen to reviews; I'd carefully choose which films to see. I'm still not sure when I'll have my next cinema outing...
😏 Yt L. I agree. We always played the game of, after the film, try to list all the previews. Challenging! Last movie I saw in theaters was The Gentlemen... Hope to be back soon.

Burensasub I hope it won't be long before you are able to safely go to the movies/cinema again...

Adsr I've been to open air cinemas a couple times this season. They've been taking precautions - the chairs are placed 2 m apart and we're obliged to wear masks. But if the situation is too bad in the region, I'd avoid that too.
👨🏻‍💻 Moroni I read another day about the closure of the last BlockBuster and I was having a nostalgia similar to yours. The ritual of going to the store, picking up a movie among thousands of movies, preparing popcorn, sofa and blankets, dimming the lights...the end, rewind the tape, return it and do it all over.

👨🏻‍💻 Moroni What tv shows are you watching? I'm watching Handmaid's Tale, Mr. Robot, Westworld and Dark.
🗨️ Fui Based on a review on YouTube, I've started Attack on Titan this weekend. I'm still not sure what to think about it.
