🥨 Shruthi I wonder what twitter was like in the early days? Also, seems like people are not really that political here (yet), which seems to be the source of much of twitter's meanness.
🚴 Aditya I hear you, and I definitely see some of it. I just want to add that I follow some football (soccer) based accounts and it's insane to read those threads. They're not political for the most part, just pure vitriol at times. Perhaps it's a reflection of politics becoming more like sports, my team vs your team, my party vs your party.

Diva Even though it's been a strange season, impacted by the pandemic and lockdown, I am REALLY looking forward to the FA Cup semi finals this weekend!
🍉 Lee As a Liverpool fan it's almost been an anti climax having the football return. With the league practically won before lockdown it's kind of felt more like a semi-competitive pre-season.

🍶 Freeman while pondering about the nature of social media and how it facilitates strong opinions, biases and groupthink that leads to toxicity , one wonders what it would look like if a social media were to block the use of "I" and "you", sort of like in the UK parliament (they only block the second person pronoun)

Eric I have a pretty unique name, only me and one other exist on Facebook with it. My bad luck that the other guy has spread himself all over the front page of Google and has some rather tasteless content all over his abandoned MySpace (near top result). Thankfully he's far older and lives in the US so it's clear he's not me, but I'm still a little concerned this may become a problem. I've tried to contact him about it, I'm sure he doesn't want fetish videos appearing when his name is Googled either. I've had no reply though. Any tips?
Nkrs I share my name with a football hooligan from my city who incidentally goes to the same primary school that I did and a dozen of people from Macedonia. The first Google result that is about me is my Sublevel profile on page 2.

Eric Aw, they were always one of my favourite teams to watch play once England inevitably goes out. The Dutch play football nasty and it's great to witness.

Martijn This press conference is more than cringeworthy. Almost all questions are about football. How is the team? When did Merkel hear she did not have to come to the match? etc. etc. Seriously?! According to some sources, not 1 but 2 stadiums have been evacuated. The underground has been put on lock down and the central train station is partly closed by police. Ask about that!
