☕ David Antoine I don't know if it is a placebo effect but it seems that the Opera browser is much more "comfy" than Safari, Chrome or Firefox with only 2GB of ram on my old 2008 MacBook Pro... Firefox was often crashing while being as much as slow as Chrome and Safari. Interesting as Opera uses the same web engine than Chrome but I guess there are other reasons for that... So far, it works well for me !

Mark Dain That suggests it's not the rendering engine but other things; the UI, the JavaScript engine and so on... Opera (pre-Blink) used to run JavaScript on a different thread from the UI so when code was running it wouldn't interrupt scrolling. Perhaps that's something they preserved when they switched to Blink.
