Adam Douglas Day 1 on a Chromebook (Dell Chromebook 11). Current verdict: reluctant to crouton. Like Chrome OS. Want ssh-keygen
Mark Dain How are you finding it so far? Chromebooks seem too much like a walled garden to me

Mark Dain I'm glad it's working out for you! It seems a no-brainer if you use Google Apps/similar for everything; and being able to login from anywhere is nice, although I'd like to retain control of my data. I've been thinking of building a cloud platform that I can run on my own server for this. Unfortunately I don't have time to build it so I'm still using FastMail for everything

🦿 Lucian Marin You should have write the response as a blog post. That way you could have reached two audiences. Anyway, it's good to know that Chrome OS has a high quality interface. I wish I could get an ISO and install it as a virtual machine.

Adam Douglas Yeah, I'm no blogger at heart. I mean I have a blog but I cannot be bothered to post on it every day. The precious spare time I have I prefer to dedicate to learning rather than blabbering my drivel to my non-existent audience. I miss newsgroups and forums sometimes but it's so hard to find an active place these days. I think you can get a ChromiumOS ISO if you look around. I think there was a fellow who used to dispatch nightly builds as ISOs but I don't remember his website's URL. "Hexxeh" I think he called himself.
